Alien Moon Stalker is like the Mega EX evolved form of 1980โs Mobile Lab.

Thatโs it for the 15 LEGO Space sets released in 1986. Biggest year yet (again). Next up: 1987. ๐

Large spaceships, 1978-86

6985-1: Cosmic Fleet Voyager, 1986. Third and final flagship of Classic Space. Large detachable rear base, rover with tools, four astronauts. ๐

6940-1: Alien Moon Stalker, 1986. Rocket-launching elephant-like walker with detachable fore and aft vehicles. Pretty rad.

Another pair of highly similar sets released at the same time. The first one is so much better idk why they bothered with the other. ๐ค

6926-1: Mobile Recovery Vehicle, 1986. Another modular build with detachable cockpit and rear lab, but this time the frame is a stand-alone car. ๐๐

6892-1: Modular Space Transport, 1986. Ground vehicle with deployable cockpit, and rear lab. With such low clearance, suitable for paved planets only.
