Morning hike: the rolling hills around Auw and Horben. 11km, 370m ascent, 2h30m. Earned a hiking award on my watch. (Hiking workouts continue to be my fave feature of watchOS 5)

Mostelberg selfie
Morning hike: Sattel to Mostelberg. 5.5km, 450m ascent, 1h40m. More rolling hills than actual mountain, but with enough uphill to get the blood pumping. Had lunch up top and then took the gondola back down.
Also note to self: I probably never want to use the .caseInsensitive option for matching regular expressions.
Thank goodness for unit tests when writing regular expressions! 😅
Big is back! iPhone XS Max (I think I’ll just call it iPhone Max) is the 6000 SUX of phones. I skipped the iPhone X last year. I’m looking forward to having dual cameras again to help shoot the amazing scenery on hikes (and yeah the odd LEGO Space set too).
Wirzweli selfie
It may only be about 10:30am here, but I feel like I have earned this! (Plus it’s really only half a beer since it’s half lemonade.) 😉🍺⛰
Morning hike: Wirzweli from Dallenwil. 4.5km, 650m ascent, 1.5h. Once again the hiking workout on my watch helps me track my progress. (And Gaia GPS gives me good topo maps, plus additional route tracking.)
Excellent hike this morning to Sattel-Hochstuckli. 450m ascent, 8 km. Enjoyed using the hiking workout on my watch to track the progress of our ascent.
