Rope grooves
The ropes quickly wore grooves into the soft balsa wood logs of the Kon-Tiki raft.

Oseberg carving
One of my favorite carvings from the Viking Ship Museum even though it’s one of the least elaborate.
Viking Ship Museum
Viking Ship Museum. These beautifully carved ships are around 1,200 years old! The craftsmanship is fantastic.

Stanserhorn hike
Morning hike: Stanserhorn. 1,385m ascent, 8.5km, 3.5h. By far the toughest hike I’ve ever done. Finishing was difficult but worth it. Beautiful weather if a bit on the warm side.
Zugerberg to Unterägeri via Alpli
Morning hike: Zugerberg to Unterägeri via Alpli. 18.5km, 450m ascent, 4.5h. I started at dawn atop the Zugerberg. This was the longest hike I’ve done in years but was otherwise easy– a relaxing stroll through the woods.
