Albishorn selfie

Something I really enjoy is triaging work emails or catching up on my technical reading list from the top of a mountain. This morning it was reading NSHipster’s excellent article on WWDC 2019.
Morning hike up the Albishorn: 8.6 km, 470m ascent, 2h15m, 14°C, ⛅️. Panorama view of Lake Zürich from the restaurant at the top (where I stopped for a coffee and a breather).

Up next: LEGO Space starts to get really weird as aliens and flying saucers are introduced in the UFO subtheme.

RoboForce minifigures came in either neon orange or neon green color to match their mechs.

RoboForce, 1997 (4 sets)

Feast your eyes on 2154-1: Robo Master, 1997. The largest RoboForce mech features a large cockpit, scorpion-like tail, a spaceship that launches off its back, and two astronauts. A delightfully ludicrous sci-fi build.

Work from home lunch: homemade steak tartare

I might not have made it all the way up Pilatus today, but at least I picked up some local cheese!

Hiked halfway up Pilatus to Aemsigen this morning. We decided to turn back there because the weather was not very good. We’ll make another attempt next week. 5.7km, 910m ascent, 2h5m, 10°C. Halfway was still the 2nd hardest hike I’ve done this year!
