LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 20: Hoth Shield Generators. Three Empire builds in a row! I’m usually a fan of the micro scale location builds and always a fan of ESB material, but this feels a little sparse.

Decorated a second Christmas tree (to go with our aluminum one) because why not?

Yesterday’s snowspeeder vs the one from 2014. I might prefer the older model; at least it had engines.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 19: Red-nosed Tauntaun. But do you recall, the most famous tauntaun of all?

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 18: Snowspeeder. After four days of Phantom Menace builds we get something from Empire. Nice!

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 17: Pit Droid. This cute little guy reminds me of the brick-built robots in 1980’s Space sets.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 16: Anakin’s Podracer. At first I thought this was a poor replica of a Y-Wing, but the truth was way lamer. Now this is podracing! Meh.

Today I switched from snowshoes to just hiking with chains because the snow is super hard now (when it’s not melting away altogether). Still pretty out here though.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 15: Droid Control Ship. My son informs me that this is a Lucrehulk class battleship. It’s the thing Ani blew up at the end of Phantom Menace. It’s big and has an interesting shape— I like it.

Battle droids are a staple of the LEGO Star Wars advent calendars. They’ve appeared at least 6 times thus far over the past 10 years (2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020).
