Space bases 1991-95

Large spaceships 1992-95

Surveillance Scooter, 1995. Compact flyer with poseable thrusters and an astronaut. Pretty unremarkable.

These are the 8 LEGO Space sets from 1994 (2 Ice Planet + 5 Spyrius + 1 Unitron). What will 1995 bring?

Monorail Transport Base, 1994. New theme Unitron starts off big with an electric cogwheel monorail space base. The train has 2 detachable pods that can be offloaded and even placed on a rover. Features 2 bases, 3 levels of track, and a secret comms center for a Spyrius spy robot.

Lunar Launch Site was the first LEGO Space set to use BURP’s.*
* Big Ugly Rock Pieces

Space bases 1987-94

Lunar Launch Site (as per its name) features a missile launch platform inside a rock formation to keep it hidden from prying eyes. (I think the back half is supposed to flop open, but it needed a helping hand.)

Lunar Launch Site features a pit trap mechanism just in case someone comes along poking their nose where it doesn’t belong.
