Panorama from atop the Weisshorn above Arosa. Excellent skiing this morning. I think I’ve finally progressed enough where I can do (some) red runs without freaking out.

Arosa view
View from the ski slopes of Arosa. Here for the weekend before a blockchain conference in Davos starting Monday.
Sattel-Hochstuckli panorama
Morning mountain. Panorama view from Sattel-Hochstuckli. Beautiful day for a few quick runs. I think I had some sort of breakthrough today: my skiing improved dramatically (still probably not great).
Morning ski
Morning mountain. A few runs at Sattel before continuing my work day.
View from Sattel-Hochstuckli
View from Sattel-Hochstuckli. It’s been too long, but I got back to a mountain today for some skiing. I should go more often. Mountains make me happy and the fresh air and exercise are good for me.
Pizol
Mountains at Pizol for skiing yesterday afternoon.
Hochstuckli Panorama
View from the Hochstuckli down into Schwyz. More low key skiing at Sattel this morning. I try to be on the slopes by 9, in the gondola heading back down the mountain by 10:30, and then at home and at my desk as soon as possible thereafter.
Wipeout
I wiped out skiing this morning (accidentally went off-piste into deep, loose snow) and a passing middle-schooler asked me if I was ok. Faith in humanity restored. (I’m fine.)
Morning ski (Sattel)
Morning mountain: I skipped my hiking group’s snowshoe hike in favor of some relaxed skiing at Sattel. I still need to build up endurance in my thighs…
Ski misadventure
I would be remiss if I didn’t recount yesterday’s ski misadventure: While skiing at our smallish local resort, I fell off the T-Bar at perhaps the worst possible point and had to spend an hour struggling through deep snow to get back on-piste.
