6977-1: Arachnoid Starbase, 1998. A giant spider-shaped vehicle / base – this thing is awesome and hands down the best Insectoids set. Includes a small flyer, a scooter, a small base, two droids, two aliens, and four magnetic crystals. The two rear legs serve as magnetic cranes.

6969: Celestial Stinger
6969-1: Celestial Stinger, 1998. Large winged spaceship features two droid-piloted flyers that dock via magnets, detachable rear section, cargo pallet, three magnetic crystals, alien pilot, and an electric light & sound module.
6919: Planetary Prowler
6919-1: Planetary Prowler, 1998. Large grasshopper-shaped ground vehicle has shock absorbers (and wheels!) on the rear jumping legs. The main ship is driven by an alien, but there’s a small flyer piloted by a droid. A cargo payload contains a crystal with a magnetic sticker.
Sonic Stinger lights
The new integrated electric system in Sonic Stinger features flashing lights and 3 space sounds and runs on 2 AA batteries. It was only used in 3 Insectoids sets. (In contrast, the 9V system it replaced appeared in 22 sets over a 12-year span.)
6907: Sonic Stinger
6907-1: Sonic Stinger, 1998. This fly-shaped spaceship features a new electric light & sound module shaped like an insect’s abdomen. Comes with an alien pilot, crystal with a magnetic sticker, and a magnet to pick it up with.
6905: Bi-Wing Blaster
6905-1: Bi-Wing Blaster, 1998. Small winged flyer, piloted by a droid, that docks onto the back of a larger winged flyer piloted by an Insectoid alien. Each ship has a crystal with a magnetic sticker and a rear-mounted magnet to carry it.
6903: Bug Blaster
6903-1: Bug Blaster, 1998. This small flying wedge doesn’t have anything very-insecty about it apart from the single forward-facing compound eye thingy. Includes an alien carrying a crystal with a magnetic sticker (but no magnet).
6837: Cosmic Creeper
6837-1: Cosmic Creeper, 1998. Ant-like ground vehicle driven by an Insectoid alien features large compound eyes and magnetic mandibles. The entire front (head) swings up for some reason that I couldn’t fathom.

2965: Hornet Scout
2965-1: Hornet Scout, 1998. Legged ground vehicle and small winged flyer that connect rear-to-rear like a pair of lovebugs mating. Piloted by an Insectoid alien and a droid.
