At my local Coop (Swiss supermarket chain) this morning, the only type of flour that was out of stock was whole wheat, and the only type of rice out of stock was whole grain. Curse you healthy hoarders! 🤣

Judging by local supermarket shelves, ice cream and chips form key components of coronavirus preparedness here in Switzerland.

New favorite German word: Hamsterkäufe. Literally “hamster purchases” but means “hoarding”. Apropos of the panic-buying of supplies that is now occurring in Switzerland.
