LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 2: Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle. The Sequel Trilogy builds continue.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 1: First Order Star Destroyer. I like the more subdued playmat in this year’s calendar. I think it’s supposed to be Ahch-To?

That has been every LEGO Space set from 1978 through 1999: 190 sets spanning 14 subthemes built and photographed over the past two and a half years. 🚀💫
Droid minifigs, 1994-99

Insectoids minifigs, 1998-99 (6 aliens, 1 droid)

Insectoids, 1998-99 (15 sets)

These were the 5 LEGO Space sets from 1999 (all Insectoids). 1999 was the year that LEGO first produced Star Wars sets, and the generic Space theme has never been the same since. There were a few attempts to revive the theme in the 2000’s, but they never got much traction.

6942-1: Zo Weevil, 1999. This small flyer with alien pilot was the final Insectoids set.

3073-1: Kana Booster, 1999. Small flyer with an alien pilot. This and the previous three sets were sold only in Japan and packaged with Kabaya sweets.
