Norway Trip, Day 5
Norway Trip, Day 5: Bus tour of the Vesterålen Islands in the morning, Hurtigruten ship museum at Stokmarknes in the afternoon, navigating the Raftsundet strait at sunset. Bad weather kept us from visiting the narrow Trollsfjord and Svolvær (where I had hoped to do a night hike).

Norway Trip, Day 2
Norway Trip, Day 2: Fly to Kirkenes in the far northeast of Norway. Had hoped to maybe see the Northern Lights tonight, but the sky is completely overcast.
Rope grooves

Kon-Tiki Raft
The original Kon-Tiki raft as sailed by Thor Heyerdahl and his crew 6,900 km from South America to Polynesia over 101 days in 1947.
Oseberg carving
One of my favorite carvings from the Viking Ship Museum even though it’s one of the least elaborate.
Viking Ship Museum
Viking Ship Museum. These beautifully carved ships are around 1,200 years old! The craftsmanship is fantastic.
