LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 12: Beach Vader. Beach vacation themed Darth Vader. I love the sunset Scarif Death Star scene on his top, which is reminiscent of the 90’s LEGO Paradisa theme. Thumbs up.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 12: Beach Vader. Beach vacation themed Darth Vader. I love the sunset Scarif Death Star scene on his top, which is reminiscent of the 90’s LEGO Paradisa theme. Thumbs up.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 11: V-35 Landspeeder. I had to look this one up. Apparently it was on screen in A New Hope for like 2 seconds when Luke & Ben arrive in Mos Eisley. I like the sideways build technique and the color blocking. Thumbs up.

Used our SUP caddy to pick up a Christmas tree from a local farm today. Grown right here in this valley. Also we finally got snow.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 10: Moisture Vaporator. Well the string of good builds had to end eventually. It’s just sad and boring sitting there all alone. If they’d included Luke’s home or a little bit of desert landscape, it would have been fine. Thumbs down.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 9: Ugly Sweater C-3PO. I love the R2-D2 embroidered on the sweater. Great holiday-themed minifigure. Thumbs up.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 8: Luke’s T-16 Skyhopper. This one is a bit obscure as only part of the ship is briefly shown during A New Hope while Luke is cleaning C-3PO. Another satisfying micro ship build. Thumbs up.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 7: Luke’s Landspeeder. Another cool micro vehicle. I like the studs for Luke and C-3PO and the exposed engine on the left side where the cowling was removed. Should be faded red instead of tan though. Thumbs up.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 6: The Marauder. AKA the Bad Batch’s attack shuttle. A nice recovery from yesterday’s stumble. Thumbs up.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 5: Battle Droid. Great, another clanker. I hate that they depict the enemy troops of the Prequel Trilogy as buffoons played for comic relief. At least they included a blaster, so maybe tomorrow won’t be a weapons rack. Thumbs down.

And of course one of our cats wasted no time curling up on the tree skirt and falling asleep.
