Work in Progress: Big Spaceship
Work in Progress: the largest spaceship I will be building from almost 20 years of LEGO Space sets. Also the 2nd largest set from that period, behind only the Futuron monorail.
Other Color Domes
Space sets with quarter domes in yellow, neon green, and neon orange from 1987-93. Nice parts use as a gigantic windscreen in the Mega Core Magnetizer.
The quarter dome made one final appearance in 1998 (in a new color) but not in a Space set! (More on that later)
Space Sets with Blue Domes
Space sets (all bases) with blue quarter domes, 1987-96.
1 Year on Micro.blog
So is your Micro.blog anniversary 1 year from when you joined or 1 year from your first post? Because I signed up 1 year ago today. Since then I’ve been primarily posting to my own blog and letting a bot cross-post to Twitter.
1k swim
Tonight I swam 1 km for the first time. My Watch presented me with this award. We joined a pool in mid-November and have been trying to swim at least 3x a week. (The best part is the heated swim-out pool with jets and bubbles for after. Especially when it’s snowing.)
I’m too big for my Glif
I finally found a phone too big for my Glif: iPhone Max in the smart battery case. 🤣
Android Base
Android Base, 1996. I love the big blue quarter domes. Typical space base set with a building, ground vehicle, small spaceship, and a few astronauts. The domes swing open to allow the truck to enter.
Sophie the tapir
Sophie the tapir would come out of the forest at dawn to get fruit or cookies.
Selfie with tapir
Selfie with a tapir (taken in December). This is Sophie. She likes cookies. 13/10
