LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 11: Rowan Freemaker. (Had to look this one up too.) A kid with a lightsaber – what could go wrong?
Month: December 2018
Day 10: Blaster Cannon
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 10: Blaster Cannon. Lamer than a Battle Droid. 🤮
Micro Grievous’ Starfighters
General Grievous’ Starfighter 2012 vs 2018. The new model is much better than the blocky one from 2012.
Day 9: General Grievous’ Starfighter
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 9: General Grievous’ Starfighter. Neat little micro-build spaceship.
Send More Battle Droids!
I thought that battle droid looked familiar. They also came in the calendars from 2012, 2013, and 2016.
Day 8: Battle Droid
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 8: Battle Droid. A little on the lame side, but at least they included a blaster.
Micro Naboo Starfighters
Naboo Starfighter 2012 vs 2018. Wait, they’re exactly the same! Well, that certainly was lazy. Guess the designers decided they got it right the first time? Hard to believe no new parts have come out in the intervening 6 years that would allow improvements.
Day 7: Naboo Starfighter
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, Day 7: Naboo Starfighter. Clever little micro ship build.
Alien Fossilizer
Alien Fossilizer, 1996. Ground vehicle with magnetic crane arm and red/blue scanners. The astronaut’s suit is connected to the vehicle by a hose. Includes a magnetic “alien fossil” tile (sticker) for the crane to collect.
IG-88 in Cloud City
TIL there’s a tie-in between IG-88 and Cloud City: in the junk room scene where Chewie is fighting to recover the parts of C-3PO, you can see IG-88’s head and torso leaning against the incinerator. Apparently Boba Fett shot him for trying to horn in on Han’s bounty.
